2024 is nearly at its end, with 2025 about to start. With the New Year about to start, this is the perfect time to start thinking about where you are going to go on holiday.
The sooner you start thinking, the better the prices are likely to be and you can begin the countdown when you go – there is nothing more satisfying than seeing the countdown get nearer to your breakaway.
The world is huge, with so many bucket list activities that you should be trying. A skydive in Australia, a wine tour in Bordeaux, and a walking holiday in Scotland are just a few of the many things that should be on your list. Then you have seasonal events which you should try and travel to at one point – The US Open in America, the World Cup (the host changes every four years) and the Formula One in Abu Dhabi.
The world is your oyster! Below we look into three places to go away on holiday in 2025.
London, England
The capital of England, London is close to many travellers’ hearts and is on most people’s bucket lists. As a major city, it ticks many boxes, from award-winning restaurants and top theatre shows to a plethora of history and five-star hotels to stay in.
It can be expensive in London, but you can visit for a few days or a few weeks, it depends on your preference. If you want to stay for longer at a more affordable cost, aim to stay further outside of London, instead of straight in the centre.
Wine tour in Bordeaux
A destination near England which is very popular is Bordeaux and the reason for this is simple, the incredible wine!
Bordeaux is known for producing some of the best wines in the world, so where better to go for a wine tour? There are many vineyards you can visit as well as impressive hotels for you to stay at.
We would recommend aiming for the summer months, as this is when you are going to get favourable weather – the last thing you want is for it to constantly rain on your break away.
Walking holiday in Scotland
Scotland is sometimes neglected as people opt to visit England instead, even though Scotland has so much to offer.
A walking holiday in Scotland will give you the opportunity to see the various landscapes this incredible country has.
Your trip can be as short as a few days to as long as a week or two.
By going on a walking holiday, you’ll get to exercise, whilst also having plenty of time to catch up with your loved ones.
Our advice would be to go in the summer months as this is when the weather will be nicest. Just like visiting Bordeaux, it’s never as nice, if it’s throwing it down with rain.
We hope we have given you some inspiration on where to go away on holiday in 2025. Have you got a destination that you are planning on going to?
